The Academy of Learning & Technology would like to welcome Mr. John Burruto to the Nashua School District.  Mr. Burruto is the district's new Director of Student Services.  He comes to Nashua with a proficient understanding of educational systems.  He is a proven leader and is particularly adept at dealing with challenging situations. His experience and knowledge comes from many years of service in various educational settings.

As a former student of Mr. Burruto, I can testify to the positive contributions he made in my home town of Amherst, Massachusetts as the Junior High School principal.  Prior to Mr. Burruto's arrival in 1974, Amherst Junior High School was struggling. There was considerable drug activity, truancy and behavioral problems. With Mr. Burruto's arrival, the school's climate changed significantly.   One measurable difference was that test scores improved from the previous years which was not the trend in other educational communities in the area.

When students and teachers feel safe and free from other distractions, education can then occur at a much higher level.  Mr. Burruto made that happen in Amherst Massachusetts.  We are fortunate to have Mr. Burruto on our team and we are looking forward to benefiting from his experience and insight.
