Good things are happening at the Academy of Learning and Technology (ALT).  We have been given a unique opportunity to teach and work with some of the most talented and dynamic young people in the city of Nashua.  Young people who are excellent writers, athletes, performers, and mathematicians.  Each one of our students brings something very special to our school.

A primary focus at ALT is to build a positive and caring learning environment for our students who in the past have not always met their full potential.  We believe that a positive learning environment is one that students enjoy; one where they know that the teachers, principal, and support staff, like and respect them and have a vested interest in their academic, as well as, personal success. However, building this kind of community does not occur overnight.  We recognize that change is hard and requires commitment and cooperation from the student, the teacher, and the parent.  “Together we can achieve more.”

Another contributing factor to our students' success is that we are able to provide free breakfast and lunch for all of our students through a grant from the US Department of Agriculture which our school was eligible for.  This ensures that our students are starting the day with nourishment, prepared to engage in the learning process.

Students of the Month Above

We are also fortunate that our students are able to take advantage of extended day programming before and after school.  The after school component is affiliated with the 21st Century Grant.  Students are able to participate in a wide array of programs based on students’ interests.  When the program has concluded each day students are able to access the Boys & Girls Club for additional activities.
