Drivers Education Policy

Next Class Session Information - September 2007

Classes are usually offered four times per year (Sept., Nov., Feb., and April) with classes open to current seniors, juniors and sophomores who are sixteen years of age with priority given to seniors and juniors.

File Size: 40 KBAll classes require a minimum 30 hours of classroom, 10 hours on-road instruction and at least 6 hours of required in car observation. 

Currently classes are held after school from 3:30 -5:30 p.m. at NHS-South.  These classes are held two days per week.  Road instruction takes place after school and on Saturday. 

Cost of the class is $300.00.  A copy of the students Birth Certificate must be presented along with class fee at the time of lottery to be eligible for class enrollment. This fee must be paid at the time of the lottery.  Checks should be written to the Nashua School District.  There is a $25.00 fee charged for checks that bounce and driving will be canceled until payment is made.

Textbooks must be returned at end of class or there will be a $40.00 replacement cost.  A $25.00 fee will be charged for lost completion papers.

Remember to keep your driving appointment.  Being late will result in a $25.00 no show fee. 

Should you need to cancel a driving lesson, call Reneé Santos at 589-6465 or email rlancourt@aol.com within 24 hours of the cancellation.  Too many cancellations may require finishing during the next scheduled class.
