All meals meet and often exceed the nutrition requirements set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service to support children’s healthy growth and healthy well-being.
In fact, Birch Hill Elementary School, Dr. Crisp Elementary School, and Ledge Street Elementary School recently were awarded the USDA HealthierUS School Challenge Award at the Silver level. They join nearly 6,500 HUSSC-certified schools from 49 states, and stand as the highest-recognized three schools in New Hampshire, achieving the rigorous Silver level. All three schools were cited for promoting nutrition and physical activity at home and at school.
